I love Switzerland. Notice how it's never attacked by anyone during wars? Yeah... it's just too cool.

TATE SAYS: Well now I'd like to formally introduce new TTRS writer Kogen, who was mentioned in this post, which he helped write. Kogen's a pretty groovy dude who rather likes Bob Dylan songs, yes, rah. The following is from his official autobiography: 

Huge fan of Bob Dylan and similar musical artists. He says he actually preferred the Beatles "back in the day", in fact, he may actually still prefer the Beatles. Rest assured he is sometimes allowed out of his dungeon here in TTRS towers to listen to a little '60s music.

So yesterday was Star Wars Day (May the Fourth be with you!), but unfortunately we didn't really post anything. Well today we get another chance... it's Revenge of the Fifth! Look for some Star Wars-related posts here on The Totally Random Site today.

ALSO... our first real poll has just concluded. We asked readers if they were pro-Russia-invading-Ukraine. The choices we gave were "HECK YES", "GAWD NO", "undecided", and "what's russia?". Well here are the results:

HECK YES - 2 votes (15%)
GAWD NO - 2 votes (15%)
undecided - 4 votes (30%)
what's russia? - 5 votes (38%)

We don't know what we expected.

so Nick and I just had a conversation about the Paraguayan War in the mid 1860s in which 90% of male Paraguayans died because their president declared war on the three much more powerful surrounding countries (Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay) JUST BECAUSE HE FELT LIKE IT

yep that happened

UPDATE:  apparently the leader declared war so he could prove that he was an expert military tactician. (he wasn't)
